T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta, Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Koran upon thee for thee to be unprosperous, 2 only as reminder for those who have fear (of disobeying God). 3 It is a sending down from Him who has created the earth, and the high heavens, 4 the All Merciful settled on the throne. 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, all that lies between them, and lies below the earth. 6 Whether you say a thing aloud or inaudibly, He has knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 Allah! La ilahla illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He)! To Him belong the Best Names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 When he saw a fire and said unto his folk: Lo! Wait! I see a fire afar off. Peradventure I may bring you a brand therefrom or may find guidance at the fire. 10 So when he came near the fire, it was announced, “O Moosa!” 11 I Am your Lord. Take off your shoes; you are in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 "And I have chosen you. So listen to that which is inspired to you. 13 I am God. There is no deity save Me; so worship Me alone, and say your prayers in My remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming. I almost conceal it, so that every soul will be recompensed for its labors. 15 So do not let one avert you from it who does not believe in it and follows his desire, for you [then] would perish. 16 The Lord asked, "Moses, what is in your right hand?" 17 He said: "This is my stick, whereon I lean, and wherewith I beat down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses." 18 He said: Cast it down, O Moses! 19 He threw it, and behold! It was a snake, active in motion. 20 'Take it, and do not fear' He said, 'We will restore it to its former state. 21 And press thy hand to thy side, it will come forth white, without hurt, as another sign. 22 That We may go on showing you Our greater signs. 23 "Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh)! Verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience, and has behaved as an arrogant, and as a tyrant)." 24
