T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ TaHa. 1 We have not Sent down on thee the Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed. 2 But only as a Reminder to those who fear (Allah). 3 a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens 4 The Beneficent God is dominant over the Throne (of the realm). 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth and what is between them and what is under the soil. 6 If you speak loudly; He has indeed knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 God: There is no god but He. To Him belong the attributes most beautiful. 8 Have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his wife, “Wait – I have seen a fire – perhaps I may bring you an ember from it or find a way upon the fire.” 10 And when he reached it, he was called by name: O Moses! 11 Verily, I am thy Sustainer! Take off, then, thy sandals! Behold, thou art in the twice hallowed valley, 12 I have chosen you. So listen to what is being revealed. 13 I Am the only God. Worship Me and be steadfast in prayer to have My name always in your mind. 14 Verily the Hour (of the great change) is about to come. I keep it secret that every soul may be rewarded for its endeavour. 15 "Therefore let not such as believe not therein but follow their own lusts, divert thee therefrom, lest thou perish!".. 16 "What do you have in your right hand, Moses?" 17 He said: it is my staff; I lean there on; and therewith beat down fodder for my sheep; and for me therein are other purposes. 18 He said: 'Moses, cast it down' 19 So he threw it down, and lo, it became a running serpent. 20 Allah said: take hold of it, and fear not; We shall restore it to its former state. 21 "And press your (right) hand to your (left) side, it will come forth white (and shining), without any disease as another sign, 22 “In order that We may show you Our great signs.” 23 Go thou unto Pharaoh! Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 24
