In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ TaHa. 1 We have not sent down the Koran to you for you to be tired, 2 but only as an exhortation to all who stand in awe [of God]: 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Most Beneficent (Allah) Istawa (rose over) the (Mighty) Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil. 6 Whether or not you express (your thoughts) in words, God certainly knows all unspoken thoughts and all that is even more difficult to find. 7 Allah - there is no god but He. His are the most excellent names. 8 And has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family, "Wait here. I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a brand from it, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 So when he came near the fire, it was announced, “O Moosa!” 11 Verily I am your Lord! Take off your shoes. You are in the sacred valley, Tuwa! 12 and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. 13 Verily I! I am Allah! no God there is but I; so worship Me, and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming. But I choose to keep it hidden, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with his labours. 15 So do not let those who do not believe in it and follow their vain desires, turn you away from it. 16 "What do you have in your right hand, Moses?" 17 He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses." 18 God said, "Moses, cast it down." 19 So he threw it down, and lo, it became a running serpent. 20 The Lord said, "Hold the serpent and do not be afraid; We will bring it back to its original form." 21 And draw in your hand to your side; it will come out white without disease - another sign, 22 So We would show thee some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel." 24
