T H (Taa Haa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ TA HA. 1 We did not bestow the Qur'an on thee from on high to make thee unhappy, 2 but as a reminder to he who fears. 3 A revelation from He who created the earth and highest heavens, 4 The Compassionate on the Throne is established. 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, and all that lies between them, and underneath the soil. 6 Be thou loud in thy speech, yet surely He knows the secret and that yet more hidden. 7 God: There is no god but He. To Him belong the attributes most beautiful. 8 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family: "Hold on! I have just perceived a fire; perhaps I will bring a brand from it for you, or I will find some guidance at the fire about the way to follow." 10 But when he came to the fire, a voice was heard: "O Moses! 11 I Am your Lord. Take off your shoes; you are in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you. So listen to what is being revealed. 13 I am God, and there is no god but I, so serve Me, and observe acts of prayer to remember Me. 14 Lo! the Hour is surely coming. But I will to keep it hidden, that every soul may be rewarded for that which it striveth (to achieve). 15 Do not let anyone who does not believe in it and follows his own desires turn you away from it and so bring you to ruin." 16 What is that in your right hand, Moses' 17 'It is my staff," Moses replied, "upon it I lean and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep and for me there are other uses in it' 18 (Allah) said, "Throw it, O Moses!" 19 He threw it, and behold! It was a snake, active in motion. 20 He said, “Pick it up and do not fear; We shall restore it to its former state.” 21 And place your hand in your armpit, it will come forth shining white, without blemish. This is another Sign of Allah, 22 for We shall show you some of Our greatest Signs. 23 “Go to Firaun, he has rebelled.” 24
