T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Ta Ha 1 We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; 2 Nay, it is a reminder to him who fears: 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Beneficent God is dominant over the Throne (of the realm). 5 His is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth and what is between them two and what is beneath the ground. 6 Whether you speak aloud [or in a low voice], He hears all, for He knows your secrets and what is even more hidden. 7 Allah – there is no worship except for Him; His only are the best names. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire he said to his family: "You wait here. I have seen a fire. I may haply be able to bring an ember from it, or find direction by the fire." 10 When he came near the fire he was called, "Moses, 11 I am your Lord! Take off your sandals, for you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you. Therefore, listen to what shall be revealed. 13 I am God, and there is no god but I, so serve Me, and observe acts of prayer to remember Me. 14 Lo! the Hour is surely coming. But I will to keep it hidden, that every soul may be rewarded for that which it striveth (to achieve). 15 "Therefore let not such as believe not therein but follow their own lusts, divert thee therefrom, lest thou perish!".. 16 What is that in your right hand, Moses' 17 'Why, it is my staff,' said Moses. 'I lean upon it, and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep; other uses also I find in it. 18 Said He: "Throw it down, O Moses!" 19 He threw it, and behold! It was a snake, active in motion. 20 Said He, 'Take it, and fear not; We will restore it to its first state. 21 Put your hand under your armpit: it will come out [shining] white, without any blemish. This shall be another sign. 22 That We may show thee (some) of Our greater portents, 23 Go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious." 24
