T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ TA HA. 1 We have not sent the Quran down to you to distress you, 2 But only as a Reminder to those who fear (Allah). 3 Sent down by One Who created the earth and the lofty heavens. 4 the Most Gracious, established on the throne of His almightiness? 5 His is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth and what is between them two and what is beneath the ground. 6 And if thou speakest aloud, then lo! He knoweth the secret (thought) and (that which is yet) more hidden. 7 Allah-- there is no god but He; His are the very best names. 8 Has the story of Moses come to you? 9 Recall what time he saw a fire and said to his household, bide ye! verily I have perceived a fire! haply I may bring you from it a brand or may find at the fire a guidance. 10 When he came near the fire he was called, "Moses, 11 I Am your Lord. Take off your shoes; you are in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you as My Messengers. Listen to the revelation. 13 I am God, and there is no god but I, so serve Me, and observe acts of prayer to remember Me. 14 "Verily, the Hour is coming and My Will is to keep it hidden that every person may be rewarded for that which he strives. 15 Let none bar thee from it, that believes not in it but follows after his own caprice, or thou wilt perish. 16 “And what is this in your right hand, O Moosa?” 17 Moses answered: "This is my staff. I lean on it (when I walk), and with it I beat down leaves for my flock, and I have many other uses for it." 18 He said: Cast it down, O Musa! 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent running along. 20 He said: Take hold of it and fear not; We will restore it to its former state: 21 "Now draw thy hand close to thy side: It shall come forth white (and shining), without harm (or stain),- as another Sign,- 22 “In order that We may show you Our great signs.” 23 And go to Pharaoh now for he has transgressed all bounds." 24
