T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 We did not bestow the Qur'an on thee from on high to make thee unhappy, 2 But only as a Reminder to those who fear (Allah). 3 It is a sending down from Him who has created the earth, and the high heavens, 4 The Most Gracious Who, befitting His Majesty, took to the Throne (of control). 5 Whatever is in the heavens and the earth and in between them, belongs to Him, as whatever lies under the earth. 6 Whether you speak aloud [or in a low voice], He hears all, for He knows your secrets and what is even more hidden. 7 Allah! there is no god but He! To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. 8 And has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 9 When he saw a fire and said unto his folk: Lo! Wait! I see a fire afar off. Peradventure I may bring you a brand therefrom or may find guidance at the fire. 10 When he reached it, he was called: 'O Moses, 11 “Indeed I am your Lord, therefore take off your shoes; indeed you are in the holy valley of Tuwa!” 12 I Myself have chosen you; therefore, give ear to what is revealed. 13 Lo! I, even I, am Allah, There is no Allah save Me. So serve Me and establish worship for My remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming. But I choose to keep it hidden, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with his labours. 15 "Therefore let not such as believe not therein but follow their own lusts, divert thee therefrom, lest thou perish!".. 16 And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said: This is my staff: I recline on it and I beat the leaves with it to make them fall upon my sheep, and I have other uses for it. 18 Said He, 'Cast it down, Moses!' 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent, gliding. 20 (Allah) said, "Seize it, and fear not: We shall return it at once to its former condition".. 21 “And put your hand inside your armpit – it will come out shining white, not due to any illness – one more sign.” 22 so that We might make thee aware of some of Our greatest wonders. 23 Go to Firon, surely he has exceeded all limits. 24
