T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ O MAN! 1 We have not revealed the Quran to you that you may be unsuccessful. 2 But as a reminder unto him who feareth, 3 It is a revelation from the Creator of the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Most Compassionate Lord is settled on the Throne (of the Universe). 5 Whatever is in the heavens and the earth and in between them, belongs to Him, as whatever lies under the earth. 6 Whether you speak out aloud (or in a low voice), He knows what is said secretly, and even that which is most hidden. 7 Allah! La ilahla illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He)! To Him belong the Best Names. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch or find at the fire some guidance." 10 When he came to it, a voice cried, 'Moses, 11 Verily I! I am thy Lord: so take off thy shoes; verily thou art into the holy valley, Tuwa. 12 and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. 13 Verily I am Allah. There is no god beside Me. So serve Me and establish Prayers to remember Me. 14 The Hour is coming; I would conceal it that every soul may be recompensed for its labours. 15 Let not the unbelievers who follow their vain desires make you forget the Day of Judgment, lest you will perish." 16 And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses." 18 He said: 'Moses, cast it down' 19 He cast it down, and behold! It was a snake, moving quickly. 20 Allah said:"Grasp it, and fear not, We shall return it to its former state, 21 And place your hand in your armpit, it will come forth shining white, without blemish. This is another Sign of Allah, 22 But We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious." 24
