T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta-Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Quran unto you (O Muhammad SAW) to cause you distress, 2 but only as a reminder to him who tears, 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the heavens on high. 4 The Most Beneficent (Allah) Istawa (rose over) the (Mighty) Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, all that lies between them, and lies below the earth. 6 If thou pronounce the word aloud, (it is no matter): for verily He knoweth what is secret and what is yet more hidden. 7 God, there is no deity but Him. His are the most excellent names. 8 And has the story of Moses reached you? - 9 When he saw a fire, and said to his family, 'Tarry you here; I observe a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a brand from it, or I shall find at the fire guidance.' 10 And when he reached it, he was called by name: O Moses! 11 “Indeed I am your Lord, therefore take off your shoes; indeed you are in the holy valley of Tuwa!” 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed [to you]. 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 Lo! the Hour is surely coming. But I will to keep it hidden, that every soul may be rewarded for that which it striveth (to achieve). 15 So let not him who believeth not therein and followeth his own desire keep thee away therefrom lest thou perish. 16 And what is in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said: it is my staff; I lean there on; and therewith beat down fodder for my sheep; and for me therein are other purposes. 18 (Allah) said: "Cast it down, O Musa (Moses)!" 19 So he cast it down; and lo! it was a serpent running. 20 "Catch it," said He, "and have no fear; We shall revert it to its former state. 21 Now clasp thy hand to thy arm-pit; it shall come forth white, without evil. That is a second sign. 22 That We may show thee (some) of Our greater portents, 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent.' 24
