T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Koran to you for you to be tired, 2 But only as a Reminder to those who fear (Allah). 3 A revelation from Him who created the earth and the high ascending skies, 4 The Most Compassionate Lord is settled on the Throne (of the Universe). 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and on earth, and all between them, and all beneath the soil. 6 And if thou say anything aloud, [He hears it] since, behold, He knows [even] the secret [thoughts of man] as well as all that is yet more hidden [within him]. 7 Allah, there is no god except He. To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa? 9 When he saw fire, he said to his family: Stop, for surely I see a fire, haply I may bring to you therefrom a live coal or find a guidance at the fire. 10 When he came close to it, a voice called out, "Moses, 11 Verily, I am thy Sustainer! Take off, then, thy sandals! Behold, thou art in the twice hallowed valley, 12 "I have chosen thee: listen, then, to the inspiration (sent to thee). 13 "Verily! I am Allah! La ilaha illa Ana (none has the right to be worshipped but I), so worship Me, and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) for My Remembrance. 14 The Hour of Resurrection is coming. I have willed to keep the time of its coming hidden so that everyone may be recompensed in accordance with his effort. 15 "Therefore, let not the one who believes not therein (i.e. in the Day of Resurrection, Reckoning, Paradise and Hell, etc.), but follows his own lusts, divert you therefrom, lest you perish. 16 And what is this in your right hand, O Musa! 17 'Why, it is my staff,' said Moses. 'I lean upon it, and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep; other uses also I find in it. 18 He said: "Moses, throw it down." 19 So he threw it down, and all of a sudden, it turned into a fast-moving serpent. 20 Then He said: "Seize it and have no fear. We shall restore it to its former state. 21 Now clasp thy hand to thy arm-pit; it shall come forth white, without evil. That is a second sign. 22 for We shall show you some of Our greatest Signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed." 24
