T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta, Ha. 1 We did not bestow the Qur'an on thee from on high to make thee unhappy, 2 But only as an admonition unto him who feareth. 3 It is a sending down from Him who has created the earth, and the high heavens, 4 The ever-merciful, established on the throne (of authority). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, and all that is in between, and all that is beneath the soil. 6 And if you (O Muhammad SAW) speak (the invocation) aloud, then verily, He knows the secret and that which is yet more hidden. 7 God -- there is no god but He. To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful. 8 Have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: "Wait! Verily, I have seen a fire, perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 When he reached it, he was called: 'O Moses, 11 "Verily! I am your Lord! So take off your shoes, you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa. 12 And I! I have chosen thee, hearken thou then to that which shall be revealed. 13 Surely I am Allah, there is no god but I, therefore serve Me and keep up prayer for My remembrance: 14 Verily the Hour is coming - I wish to conceal it - in order that every one may be requited according to that which he hath endeavoured. 15 Let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined. 16 The Lord asked, "Moses, what is in your right hand?" 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, and with it, I beat down the leaves for my flock; I also have other uses for it." 18 God said, "Moses, cast it down." 19 and he cast it down, and behold it was a serpent sliding. 20 He said: Grasp it and fear not. We shall return it to its former state. 21 And press your hand to your side, it shall come out white without evil: another sign: 22 That We may shew thee of Our Signs the greatest. 23 Go to Pharaoh, he has become insolent' 24
