T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta Ha 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to you that you should be burdened, 2 But only as an admonition unto him who feareth. 3 Sent down by One Who created the earth and the lofty heavens. 4 The Beneficent Allah is firm in power. 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and on earth, and all between them, and all beneath the soil. 6 And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden. 7 Allah! no God there is but he! His are the names excellent. 8 And has the story of Moses reached you? - 9 Behold, he saw a fire: So he said to his family, "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 When he came to it, a voice called out: "Moses! 11 Indeed, I am your Lord, so remove your sandals. Indeed, you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 And I have chosen thee, so hearken unto that which is inspired. 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 Verily the Hour is coming - I wish to conceal it - in order that every one may be requited according to that which he hath endeavoured. 15 Therefore let not him who believes not in it and follows his low desires turn you away from it so that you should perish; 16 And what is in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said: it is my staff; I lean there on; and therewith beat down fodder for my sheep; and for me therein are other purposes. 18 He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! 19 So he cast it down, and thereupon it turned into a sliding serpent. 20 Said He, 'Take it, and fear not; We will restore it to its first state. 21 And place your hand in your armpit, it will come forth shining white, without blemish. This is another Sign of Allah, 22 That We may show you of Our greater signs: 23 Go to Pharaoh, he has become insolent' 24
