T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ O MAN! 1 We have not sent down to you the Qur'an that you be distressed 2 Nay, it is a reminder to him who fears: 3 It is a sending down from Him who has created the earth, and the high heavens, 4 The Most Compassionate Lord is settled on the Throne (of the Universe). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, and all that lies between them, and underneath the soil. 6 Whether you say a thing aloud or inaudibly, He has knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 Allah – there is no worship except for Him; His only are the best names. 8 And has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 9 When he saw the fire, he said to his family, "Wait here for I can see a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a burning torch or find a way to some fire". 10 And when he came to it (the fire), he was called by name: "O Musa (Moses)! 11 Indeed, I am your Lord, so remove your sandals. Indeed, you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed [to you]. 13 Verily I! I am Allah! no God there is but I; so worship Me, and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming. But I choose to keep it hidden, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with his labours. 15 So let not him who believeth not therein and followeth his own desire keep thee away therefrom lest thou perish. 16 What is that, Moses, thou hast in thy right hand?' 17 Moses answered: "This is my staff. I lean on it (when I walk), and with it I beat down leaves for my flock, and I have many other uses for it." 18 (Allah) said, "Throw it, O Moses!" 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent running along. 20 [Allah] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition. 21 "Now draw thy hand close to thy side: It shall come forth white (and shining), without harm (or stain),- as another Sign,- 22 That We may show thee (some) of Our greater portents, 23 "[And now] go thou unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity. 24
