T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta. Ha. 1 We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; 2 Except as a reminder for one who fears. 3 A revelation from He who created the earth and highest heavens, 4 The Compassionate on the Throne is established. 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, all that lies between them, and lies below the earth. 6 And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden. 7 Allah! There is no Allah save Him. His are the most beautiful names. 8 Have you heard the story of Moses? 9 Lo! he saw a fire [in the desert]; and so he said to his family: "Wait here! Behold, I perceive a fire [far away]: perhaps I can bring you a brand there from, or find at the fire some guidance." 10 And when he came to it (the fire), he was called by name: "O Musa (Moses)! 11 Surely I am your Lord, therefore put off your shoes; surely you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa, 12 I have chosen you as My Messengers. Listen to the revelation. 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 "Behold, [although] I have willed to keep it hidden, the Last Hour is bound to come, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with what he strove for [in life]. 15 "Therefore let not such as believe not therein but follow their own lusts, divert thee therefrom, lest thou perish!".. 16 "And what is that in your right hand, O Musa (Moses)?" 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, and with it, I beat down the leaves for my flock; I also have other uses for it." 18 Said He, 'Cast it down, Moses!' 19 So he threw it down, and thereupon it was a snake, moving swiftly. 20 Allah said:"Grasp it, and fear not, We shall return it to its former state, 21 “And put your hand inside your armpit – it will come out shining white, not due to any illness – one more sign.” 22 But We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has transgressed all bounds." 24
