He said: my Lord! expand for me my breast. 25 And make my mission easy. 26 And loose a knot from my tongue, 27 That they may understand my speech, 28 And give me as assistant from my family 29 Aaron, my brother; 30 by him confirm my strength, 31 And associate him in my affair. 32 That we may exalt You much 33 And much remember Thee. 34 Verily, You have always watched over us." 35 Allah said: "You are granted your request, O Musa (Moses)! 36 And We had already conferred favor upon you another time, 37 When We inspired unto thy mother that which We inspired, 38 "Saying: 'Put him (the child) into the Tabut (a box or a case or a chest) and put it into the river (Nile), then the river shall cast it up on the bank, and there, an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his shall take him.' And I endued you with love from Me, in order that you may be brought up under My Eye, 39 Your sister went to them and said, "May I show you someone who will nurse this child?" We returned you to your mother to make her rejoice and forget her grief. You slew a man and We saved you from trouble. We tried you through various trials. Then you stayed some years with the people of Midian (Shu'ayb and his family) and after that you came back to Egypt as was ordained. 40 I have chosen you for Me. 41 "Go you and your brother with My Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and do not, you both, slacken and become weak in My Remembrance. 42 Then go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious. 43 But speak unto him in a mild manner, so that he might bethink himself or [at least] be filled with apprehension. 44 The two [brothers] said: "O our Sustainer! Verily, we fear lest he act hastily with regard to us, or lest he [continue to] transgress all bounds of equity." 45 Answered He: "Fear not! Verily, I shall be with you two, hearing and seeing [all]. 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 It is revealed to us that those who call our message a lie or turn away from it will face the torment." 48 Said Firaun, “So who is the Lord of you both, O Moosa?” 49 Musa said: our Lord is He who vouchsafed unto everything its creation, then guided it. 50 He then asked, "What do you know about the past generations?" 51 (Moses) replied: "Knowledge of that is with my Lord (recorded) in the Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 He it is Who spread the earth for you; and made in it paths for you, and sent down water from the sky, and then through it We brought forth many species of diverse plants. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle, (therein); verily, in this are proofs and signs for men of understanding. 54
