'Lord' said Moses, 'expand my chest, 25 "Ease my task for me; 26 and my tongue fluent 27 so that they might fully understand my speech, 28 And appoint for me a minister from my household. 29 "Harun (Aaron), my brother; 30 by him confirm my strength, 31 "And make him share my task: 32 so that [together] we might abundantly extol Thy limitless glory 33 “And profusely remember You.” 34 You are surely watching over us. 35 Allah said: "You are granted your request, O Musa (Moses)! 36 And assuredly We conferred a benefit on thee another time. 37 "Behold! We sent to thy mother, by inspiration, the message: 38 Saying! cast him in the ark, and cast him into the river, and the river will throw him on the bank, and then an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his will take him up. And I cast on thee love from Me in order that thou mayest be formed under Mine eye. 39 "When your sister went and said: 'Shall I show you one who will nurse him?' So We restored you to your mother, that she might cool her eyes and she should not grieve. Then you did kill a man, but We saved you from great distress and tried you with a heavy trial. Then you stayed a number of years with the people of Madyan (Midian). Then you came here according to the fixed term which I ordained (for you), O Musa (Moses)! 40 I have chosen thee for My service; 41 “You and your brother, both go with My signs, and do not slacken in My remembrance.” 42 Go both to Firon, surely he has become inordinate; 43 But speak gently to him; perhaps he may yet take heed or even feel afraid." 44 They said, "Lord, we are afraid of his transgression and rebellion against us". 45 He replied: 'Have no fear I shall be with you, both hearing and seeing. 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 Lo! it hath been revealed unto us that the doom will be for him who denieth and turneth away. 48 [Pharaoh] said, "So who is the Lord of you two, O Moses?" 49 He replied: "Our Sustainer is He who gives unto every thing [that exists] its true nature and form, and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment]. 50 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said: "What about the generations of old?" 51 Moses said: "Its knowledge is with my Lord, recorded in the Book. My Lord does not err, nor does He forget." 52 It is God who has made the earth as a cradle for you with roads for you to travel. He has sent water from the sky to produce various pairs of plants. 53 So eat yourself and pasture your cattle. Surely there are many Signs in this for people of understanding. 54
