'Lord' said Moses, 'expand my chest, 25 'and do Thou ease for me my task. 26 "And make loose the knot (the defect) from my tongue, (i.e. remove the incorrectness from my speech) [That occurred as a result of a brand of fire which Musa (Moses) put in his mouth when he was an infant]. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 16, Page 159]. 27 so that they might fully understand my speech, 28 and appoint for me a helper from among my family, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 “Back me up with him.” 31 and let him share my task, 32 So shall we glorify Thee, 33 and may remember You much. 34 "Verily! You are of us Ever a Well-Seer." 35 Allah said: "You are granted your request, O Musa (Moses)! 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on thee another time (before). 37 When We told your mother what We relate: 38 Saying: Throw him into the ark, and throw it into the river, then the river shall throw it on to the bank, and there an enemy to Me and an enemy to him shall take him. And I endued thee with love from Me that thou mightest be trained according to My will, 39 “When your sister went, then said, ‘Shall I show you the people who may nurse him?’ And We brought you back to your mother in order to soothe her eyes and that she may not grieve; and you killed a man, so We freed you from sorrow, and tested you to the maximum; you therefore stayed for several years among the people of Madyan; then you came (here) at an appointed time, O Moosa.” 40 I have chosen thee for My service; 41 "Go you and your brother with My Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and do not, you both, slacken and become weak in My Remembrance. 42 “Both of you go to Firaun; he has indeed rebelled.” 43 Speak to him gently. He may possibly take heed or may come to have fear." 44 They said, "Our Lord, indeed we are afraid that he will hasten [punishment] against us or that he will transgress." 45 The Lord replied them, "Do not be afraid; I Am with you all the time, listening and seeing." 46 “Therefore go to him and say, ‘We are the sent ones of your Lord, therefore let the Descendants of Israel go with us, and do not trouble them; we have indeed brought to you a sign from your Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance.’ 47 Verily we! it hath been revealed unto us that the torment will be for him who belieth and turneth away. 48 He said: who is the Lord of you twain, O Musa! 49 Moses replied, "Our Lord is He who has given everything its form, then guided it." 50 (Pharaoh) said: "What then is the condition of previous generations?" 51 [Moses] answered: "Knowledge thereof rests with my Sustainer [alone, and is laid down] in His decree; my Sustainer does not err, and neither does He forget." 52 It is He who made the earth a bed for you, and traced for you paths upon it, and sends down water from the sky, and brings out through it every kind of vegetation 53 Eat, [then, of this produce of the soil,] and pasture your cattle [thereon].
