[Moses] said, "My Lord, expand for me my breast [with assurance] 25 And make my affair easy to me, 26 And untie the knot from my tongue 27 (That) they may understand my word; 28 "And appoint for me a helper from my family, 29 "Aaron, my brother; 30 Strengthen me through him, 31 and let him share my task, 32 That we may hallow Thee oft. 33 "And remember Thee without stint: 34 Verily Thou! Thou art of us ever a Beholder. 35 Allah said: "You are granted your request, O Musa (Moses)! 36 We had already shown you favor 37 "Behold! We sent to thy mother, by inspiration, the message: 38 "'Throw (the child) into the chest, and throw (the chest) into the river: the river will cast him up on the bank, and he will be taken up by one who is an enemy to Me and an enemy to him': But I cast (the garment of) love over thee from Me: and (this) in order that thou mayest be reared under Mine eye. 39 "Behold! thy sister goeth forth and saith, 'shall I show you one who will nurse and rear the (child)?' So We brought thee back to thy mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve. Then thou didst slay a man, but We saved thee from trouble, and We tried thee in various ways. Then didst thou tarry a number of years with the people of Midian. Then didst thou come hither as ordained, O Moses! 40 I have chosen you for My service. 41 "Go forth, [then,] thou and thy brother, with My messages, and never tire of remembering Me: 42 go forth, both of you, unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity! 43 “And speak to him courteously, that perhaps he may ponder or have some fear.” 44 They said, "Lord, we are afraid of his transgression and rebellion against us". 45 He said: Fear not. Lo! I am with you twain, Hearing and Seeing. 46 So go to him and say: 'The two of us have indeed been sent by your Lord. So let the children of Israel come with us, and do not oppress them. We have come to you with a token from your Lord. Peace on him who follows the way of guidance. 47 Lo! it hath been revealed unto us that the doom will be for him who denieth and turneth away. 48 (Firon) said: And who is your Lord, O Musa? 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave unto everything its nature, then guided it aright. 50 He said: What then is the state of the generations of old? 51 Said Moses, 'The knowledge of them is with my Lord, in a Book; my Lord goes not astray, nor forgets -- 52 "He Who has, made for you the earth like a carpet spread out; has enabled you to go about therein by roads (and channels); and has sent down water from the sky." With it have We produced diverse pairs of plants each separate from the others. 53 Eat, and graze your cattle; indeed in this are signs for people of intellect. 54
