Moses said: "Lord! Open my breast for me; 25 and make my task easy for me. 26 And untie the knot from my tongue 27 "So they may understand what I say: 28 And give me as assistant from my family 29 Let it be my brother Aaron 30 Strengthen me through him 31 and let him share my task, 32 “In order that we may profusely proclaim Your Purity.” 33 And much remember Thee. 34 You are surely seeing us' 35 He answered: "Granted is your prayer, O Moses. 36 "And indeed, We bestowed Our favour upon thee at a time long since past, 37 When we inspired in thy mother that which is inspired, 38 'Put him in a wooden box and cast it in the river. The river will cast it on the bank. An enemy of Ours, and his, will retrieve it.' We bestowed Our love on you that you may be reared under Our eyes. 39 "When your sister went and said: 'Shall I show you one who will nurse him?' So We restored you to your mother, that she might cool her eyes and she should not grieve. Then you did kill a man, but We saved you from great distress and tried you with a heavy trial. Then you stayed a number of years with the people of Madyan (Midian). Then you came here according to the fixed term which I ordained (for you), O Musa (Moses)! 40 “And I created you especially for Myself.” 41 “You and your brother, both go with My signs, and do not slacken in My remembrance.” 42 Go, both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds. 43 And speak unto him a gentle word, that peradventure he may heed or fear. 44 Both said: O our Lord! Surely we fear that he may hasten to do evil to us or that he may become inordinate. 45 He said: "Fear not: for I am with you: I hear and see (everything). 46 “Therefore go to him and say, ‘We are the sent ones of your Lord, therefore let the Descendants of Israel go with us, and do not trouble them; we have indeed brought to you a sign from your Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance.’ 47 ‘It has indeed been revealed to us that the punishment is upon the one who denies and turns away.’” 48 (Pharaoh) said: Who then is the Lord of you twain, O Moses? 49 (Moses) said: "Our Lord is He who gave everything its natural form and directed it." 50 (Pharaoh) said: "What then is the condition of previous generations?" 51 Moses said, "My Lord alone has knowledge of that, recorded in a Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 The One Who has made the earth a bed for you and kept operative roads for you in it and sent down water from the sky; so with it We produced different pairs of vegetation. 53 so eat and graze your cattle. In this there are signs for men of understanding. 54
