He said: O my Lord! Expand my breast for me, 25 Make my task easy 26 "And make loose the knot (the defect) from my tongue, (i.e. remove the incorrectness from my speech) [That occurred as a result of a brand of fire which Musa (Moses) put in his mouth when he was an infant]. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 16, Page 159]. 27 That they may understand my speech, 28 And give to me an aider from my family: 29 Aaron my brother 30 by him confirm my strength, 31 And let him share my task, 32 So shall we glorify Thee, 33 “And profusely remember You.” 34 You are surely seeing us' 35 (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" 36 We had already shown you favor 37 When We inspired to your mother what We inspired, 38 Place him in a chest and throw it into the river, and thereupon the river will cast him ashore, [and] one who is an enemy unto Me and an enemy unto him will adopt him. "And [thus early] I spread Mine Own love over thee - and [this] in order that thou might be formed under Mine eye. 39 Then your sister followed you, and said (to the people who had retrieved the child): 'Should I guide you to a person who can nurse him?' We thus brought you back to your mother that her heart may be cheered, and she may not grieve. (Remember) when you killed a man We saved you from anguish; and tested and steeled you (in other ways). Afterwards you sojourned for several years with the people of Midian; then you came up to the measure, 40 I have chosen you for Me. 41 "Go you and your brother with My Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and do not, you both, slacken and become weak in My Remembrance. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has become insolent. 43 Both of you must speak with him in a gentle manner so that perhaps he may come to himself or have fear (of God)." 44 Both said: O our Lord! Surely we fear that he may hasten to do evil to us or that he may become inordinate. 45 He said: Fear not, surely I am with you both: I do hear and see. 46 So go to him and say, 'Indeed, we are messengers of your Lord, so send with us the Children of Israel and do not torment them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord. And peace will be upon he who follows the guidance. 47 It has been revealed to us that chastisement awaits those who called the lie to the truth and turned away from it.' " 48 He (Pharaoh) said: 'Moses, who is the Lord of you both' 49 He said, "Our Lord is He who gave each thing its form and then guided [it]." 50 [Pharaoh] said, "Then what is the case of the former generations?" 51 (Moses) replied: "Knowledge of that is with my Lord (recorded) in the Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and therein threaded roads for you, and sent down water out of heaven, and therewith We have brought forth divers kinds of plants. 53 Eat, and graze your cattle; indeed in this are signs for people of intellect. 54
