Said Moosa, “My Lord, open up my breast for me.” 25 And ease for me my task 26 and my tongue fluent 27 so that they may understand my speech; 28 And give me as assistant from my family 29 “That is Haroon, my brother.” 30 Increase through him my strength 31 "And let him share my task (of conveying Allah's Message and Prophethood), 32 That we may exalt You much 33 "And remember You much, 34 You are surely watching over us. 35 He said: You are indeed granted your petition, O Musa 36 And certainly We bestowed on you a favor at another time; 37 "Behold! We sent to thy mother, by inspiration, the message: 38 "'Throw (the child) into the chest, and throw (the chest) into the river: the river will cast him up on the bank, and he will be taken up by one who is an enemy to Me and an enemy to him': But I cast (the garment of) love over thee from Me: and (this) in order that thou mayest be reared under Mine eye. 39 Your sister went (to them) and said: 'Shall I guide you to one who will nurse him' And so We restored you to your mother, so that her eyes might rejoice and that she might not sorrow. And when you killed a soul We saved you from grief and then We tried you with many trials. You stayed among the people of Midian for a number of years, and then, Moses, you came here according to a decree. 40 I have chosen you for Me. 41 Go thou and thy brother with My signs, and slacken not in remembrance of Mine. 42 Go both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds, 43 Speak to him with gentle words; perhaps he will ponder or fear' 44 They both said, "Our Lord, We fear that he may commit some excess against us, or exceed all bounds in transgression." 45 He said: Fear not, surely I am with you both: I do hear and see. 46 Both of you go to him (Pharaoh) and say: "We are the Messengers of your Lord. Let the Children of Israel depart with us, and do not punish them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord; peace be on him who follows guidance! 47 it has been revealed to us that punishment shall overtake him who rejects it and turns away!'" 48 [Pharaoh] said, "So who is the Lord of you two, O Moses?" 49 He said, “Our Lord is One Who gave everything its proper shape, then showed the path.” 50 He said: What then is the state of the generations of old? 51 (Moses) replied: "Knowledge of that is with my Lord (recorded) in the Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53 You eat and let your cattle graze' Surely, in this there are signs for those of understanding. 54
