[Musa (Moses)] said: "O my Lord! Open for me my chest (grant me self-confidence, contentment, and boldness). 25 And ease for me my task 26 "And make loose the knot (the defect) from my tongue, (i.e. remove the incorrectness from my speech) [That occurred as a result of a brand of fire which Musa (Moses) put in his mouth when he was an infant]. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 16, Page 159]. 27 "So they may understand what I say: 28 and appoint for me, from my household, someone who will help me bear my burden - 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Strengthen by him my back. 31 "And let him share my task (of conveying Allah's Message and Prophethood), 32 so that we exalt You 33 and remember Thee without cease! 34 You are surely watching over us. 35 Said He: "Thou art granted all that thou hast asked for, O Moses! 36 We have bestowed Our favour on you before this 37 Remember when We inspired your mother with a certain inspiration 38 Saying: Throw him into the ark, and throw it into the river, then the river shall throw it on to the bank, and there an enemy to Me and an enemy to him shall take him. And I endued thee with love from Me that thou mightest be trained according to My will, 39 when thy sister went out, saying, "Shall I point you to one to have charge of him?" So We returned thee to thy mother that she might rejoice, and not sorrow. Then thou slewest; a living soul, and We delivered thee out of grief, and We tried thee with many trials. Many years among the people of Midian thou didst sojourn, then camest hither, Moses, according to a decree. 40 "And I have prepared thee for Myself (for service)".. 41 "Go you and your brother with My Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and do not, you both, slacken and become weak in My Remembrance. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has become insolent. 43 But speak gently to him; perhaps he may yet take heed or even feel afraid." 44 The two [brothers] said: "O our Sustainer! Verily, we fear lest he act hastily with regard to us, or lest he [continue to] transgress all bounds of equity." 45 The Lord replied them, "Do not be afraid; I Am with you all the time, listening and seeing." 46 So go you both to Pharaoh, and say, "We are the Messengers of thy Lord, so send forth with us the Children of Israel and chastise them not; we have brought thee a sign from thy Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 It has been revealed to us that punishment will befall him who denies and turns away. 48 He (Pharaoh) said: 'Moses, who is the Lord of you both' 49 He replied: "Our Sustainer is He who gives unto every thing [that exists] its true nature and form, and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment]. 50 Said [Pharaoh]: "And what of all the past generations?" 51 He replied: "The knowledge of that is with my Lord, duly recorded: my Lord never errs, nor forgets,- 52 HE IT IS who has made the earth a cradle for you, and has traced out for you ways [of livelihood] thereon, and [who] sends down waters from the sky: and by this means We bring forth various kinds of plants. 53 Eat [therefrom] and pasture your livestock. Indeed, in that are signs for those of intelligence. 54
