'Lord' said Moses, 'expand my chest, 25 Make my task easy 26 And loose the knot from my tongue, 27 “In order that they may understand my speech.” 28 And appoint for me a minister from my household. 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Confirm my strength with him 31 and let him share my task, 32 so that [together] we might abundantly extol Thy limitless glory 33 And much remember Thee. 34 Lo! Thou art ever Seeing us. 35 [Allah] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses. 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on thee another time (before). 37 When We inspired to your mother what We inspired, 38 'Put him in a wooden box and cast it in the river. The river will cast it on the bank. An enemy of Ours, and his, will retrieve it.' We bestowed Our love on you that you may be reared under Our eyes. 39 Your sister went (to them) and said: 'Shall I guide you to one who will nurse him' And so We restored you to your mother, so that her eyes might rejoice and that she might not sorrow. And when you killed a soul We saved you from grief and then We tried you with many trials. You stayed among the people of Midian for a number of years, and then, Moses, you came here according to a decree. 40 And I chose you for Myself. 41 Go with My signs, you and your brother, and do not be lax in remembering Me. 42 Then go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious. 43 "And speak to him mildly, perhaps he may accept admonition or fear Allah." 44 They said: "O our Lord, we are really frightened lest he behave insolently with us or become violent." 45 He said, “Do not fear – I am with you, All Hearing and All Seeing.” 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 It is revealed to us that those who call our message a lie or turn away from it will face the torment." 48 (Firon) said: And who is your Lord, O Musa? 49 He said, "Our Lord is He who gave each thing its form and then guided [it]." 50 Said [Pharaoh]: "And what of all the past generations?" 51 He said, “Their knowledge is with my Lord, (recorded) in a Book; my Lord neither strays nor forgets.” 52 HE IT IS who has made the earth a cradle for you, and has traced out for you ways [of livelihood] thereon, and [who] sends down waters from the sky: and by this means We bring forth various kinds of plants. 53 Eat [therefrom] and pasture your livestock. Indeed, in that are signs for those of intelligence. 54
