'Lord' said Moses, 'expand my chest, 25 Make my task easy 26 And loose the knot from my tongue, 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 Appoint for me a minister from my family 29 "Aaron, my brother; 30 by him confirm my strength, 31 And associate him (with me) in my affair, 32 That we may glorify Thee much 33 and remember you often. 34 "Verily! You are of us Ever a Well-Seer." 35 He said: You are indeed granted your petition, O Musa 36 And assuredly We conferred a benefit on thee another time. 37 when We revealed what was revealed unto thy mother: 38 Saying: Put him into a chest, then cast it down into the river, then the river shall throw him on the shore; there shall take him up one who is an enemy to Me and enemy to him, and I cast down upon you love from Me, and that you might be brought up before My eyes; 39 Recall when your sister walked along and said, "Shall I guide you to one who will take care of him?" Thus We returned you to your mother, so that her eyes might be cooled and that she might not grieve. And you killed a man and We delivered you from sorrow. We tested you with various trials. You stayed for a number of years among the people of Midian, then you came upto the standard, Moses. 40 "And I have prepared thee for Myself (for service)".. 41 "Go with your brother. Take My miracles and do not be reluctant in preaching My message. 42 "Go, both of you, to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience and behaved as an arrogant and as a tyrant). 43 and speak to him gently, perhaps he may take heed or fear (Allah)." 44 They (Moses and Aaron) said: "Our Lord! We fear lest he hasten with insolence against us, or lest he transgress all bounds." 45 He said; fear not; verily I shall be with you twain: I shall hear and see. 46 So, go to him, and say: 'Behold, both of us are the Messengers of your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not chastise them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord; and peace shall be for him who follows the true guidance. 47 It has been revealed to us that chastisement shall light upon him who cries lies and turns his back." 48 The Pharaoh asked them, "Who is your Lord?" 49 [Musa (Moses)] said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each thing its form and nature, then guided it aright." 50 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said: "What about the generations of old?" 51 Musa said: the knowledge thereof is with my Lord in the Book; my Lord erreth not, nor He forgetteth. 52 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and therein threaded roads for you, and sent down water out of heaven, and therewith We have brought forth divers kinds of plants. 53 To eat and feed your cattle. Surely there are signs in these for those who are wise. 54
