Moses said: "O my Lord, enlarge my breast, 25 and make my task easy for me. 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 that they may understand my words. 28 And appoint for me a minister from my household. 29 Haroun, my brother, 30 Strengthen my back by him, 31 And let him share my task, 32 "That we may celebrate Thy praise without stint, 33 And remember Thee oft. 34 You are surely seeing us' 35 Said He, 'Thou art granted, Moses, thy petition. 36 And certainly We bestowed on you a favor at another time; 37 when We revealed what was revealed unto thy mother: 38 "'Throw (the child) into the chest, and throw (the chest) into the river: the river will cast him up on the bank, and he will be taken up by one who is an enemy to Me and an enemy to him': But I cast (the garment of) love over thee from Me: and (this) in order that thou mayest be reared under Mine eye. 39 Your sister went (to them) and said: 'Shall I guide you to one who will nurse him' And so We restored you to your mother, so that her eyes might rejoice and that she might not sorrow. And when you killed a soul We saved you from grief and then We tried you with many trials. You stayed among the people of Midian for a number of years, and then, Moses, you came here according to a decree. 40 I have chosen you for Me. 41 So go forth, both you and your brother, with My Signs, and do not slacken in remembering Me. 42 Go, both of you, to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 43 Speak to him gently. He may possibly take heed or may come to have fear." 44 They said, "Lord, we are afraid of his transgression and rebellion against us". 45 He said: "Have no fear. I am with you, hearing and seeing all. 46 So go to him, and say: verily we are two apostles of thy Lord, so let go with us the Children of Isra'il, and torment them not; surely we have come unto thee with a sign from thy Lord: and peace be upon him who followeth the guidance. 47 'Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies [believes not in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messengers, etc.], and turns away.'(from the truth and obedience of Allah)" 48 Said Firaun, “So who is the Lord of you both, O Moosa?” 49 He said, “Our Lord is One Who gave everything its proper shape, then showed the path.” 50 Pharaoh asked: "Then, what is the state of the former generations?" 51 He replied: "The knowledge of that is with my Lord, duly recorded: my Lord never errs, nor forgets,- 52 It is God who has made the earth as a cradle for you with roads for you to travel. He has sent water from the sky to produce various pairs of plants. 53 To eat and feed your cattle. Surely there are signs in these for those who are wise. 54
