'Lord' said Moses, 'expand my chest, 25 And make my mission easy. 26 "And remove the impediment from my speech, 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 And appoint for me a minister from my family - 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Strengthen my back by him, 31 "And make him share my task: 32 "That we may glorify You much, 33 And remember You much. 34 Surely You know us well." 35 Allah said: "You are granted your request, O Musa (Moses)! 36 And We had already conferred favor upon you another time, 37 "When We inspired your mother with that which We inspired. 38 "'Throw (the child) into the chest, and throw (the chest) into the river: the river will cast him up on the bank, and he will be taken up by one who is an enemy to Me and an enemy to him': But I cast (the garment of) love over thee from Me: and (this) in order that thou mayest be reared under Mine eye. 39 "Behold! thy sister goeth forth and saith, 'shall I show you one who will nurse and rear the (child)?' So We brought thee back to thy mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve. Then thou didst slay a man, but We saved thee from trouble, and We tried thee in various ways. Then didst thou tarry a number of years with the people of Midian. Then didst thou come hither as ordained, O Moses! 40 for I have chosen thee for Mine Own service. 41 “You and your brother, both go with My signs, and do not slacken in My remembrance.” 42 “Both of you go to Firaun; he has indeed rebelled.” 43 "And speak to him mildly, perhaps he may accept admonition or fear Allah." 44 They said, "Our Lord, indeed we are afraid that he will hasten [punishment] against us or that he will transgress." 45 He said: Fear not. Lo! I am with you twain, Hearing and Seeing. 46 So go to him, and say: verily we are two apostles of thy Lord, so let go with us the Children of Isra'il, and torment them not; surely we have come unto thee with a sign from thy Lord: and peace be upon him who followeth the guidance. 47 'Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies [believes not in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messengers, etc.], and turns away.'(from the truth and obedience of Allah)" 48 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Who then, O Musa (Moses), is the Lord of you two?" 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 He said: Then what is the state of the former generations? 51 [Musa (Moses)] said: "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord, in a Record. My Lord is neither unaware nor He forgets, " 52 Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53 To eat and feed your cattle. Surely there are signs in these for those who are wise. 54
