He said: my Lord! expand for me my breast. 25 “And make my task easy for me.” 26 Remove the defect of my tongue 27 so that they may understand me. 28 Appoint a deputy (for me) from my own people. 29 Harun, my brother. 30 Strengthen my back by him, 31 And let him share my task 32 That we may sing Your praises much, 33 And remember Thee oft. 34 Lo! Thou art ever Seeing us. 35 God said, "You have been granted your request, Moses." 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on you another time (before). 37 "Behold! We sent to thy mother, by inspiration, the message: 38 "'Throw (the child) into the chest, and throw (the chest) into the river: the river will cast him up on the bank, and he will be taken up by one who is an enemy to Me and an enemy to him': But I cast (the garment of) love over thee from Me: and (this) in order that thou mayest be reared under Mine eye. 39 “When your sister went, then said, ‘Shall I show you the people who may nurse him?’ And We brought you back to your mother in order to soothe her eyes and that she may not grieve; and you killed a man, so We freed you from sorrow, and tested you to the maximum; you therefore stayed for several years among the people of Madyan; then you came (here) at an appointed time, O Moosa.” 40 And I have attached thee to Myself. 41 Go thou and thy brother with My signs, and slacken not in remembrance of Mine. 42 Go both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds, 43 And speak unto him a gentle word, that peradventure he may heed or fear. 44 The two [brothers] said: "O our Sustainer! Verily, we fear lest he act hastily with regard to us, or lest he [continue to] transgress all bounds of equity." 45 He said: Fear not. Lo! I am with you twain, Hearing and Seeing. 46 So go to him and say: 'The two of us have indeed been sent by your Lord. So let the children of Israel come with us, and do not oppress them. We have come to you with a token from your Lord. Peace on him who follows the way of guidance. 47 it has been revealed to us that punishment shall overtake him who rejects it and turns away!'" 48 [But when God's message was conveyed unto Pharaoh,] he said: "Who, now, is this Sustainer of you two, O Moses?" 49 He said, "Our Lord is He who gave each thing its form and then guided [it]." 50 Pharaoh said, 'And what of the former generations?' 51 Moses said: "Its knowledge is with my Lord, recorded in the Book. My Lord does not err, nor does He forget." 52 "He Who has, made for you the earth like a carpet spread out; has enabled you to go about therein by roads (and channels); and has sent down water from the sky." With it have We produced diverse pairs of plants each separate from the others. 53 (Saying): Eat ye and feed your cattle. Lo! herein verily are portents for men of thought. 54
