Moses said, "My Lord! open up my heart, 25 And make my affair easy to me, 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 that they may understand my speech. 28 And appoint for me a minister from my family - 29 Harun, my brother. 30 Strengthen my back by him, 31 And let him share my task 32 so that we exalt You 33 And remember Thee oft. 34 Surely You know us well." 35 Said He: "Thou art granted all that thou hast asked for, O Moses! 36 We have again bestowed Our favour upon you. 37 “When We inspired in your mother’s heart whatever was to be inspired.” 38 'Put him in a wooden box and cast it in the river. The river will cast it on the bank. An enemy of Ours, and his, will retrieve it.' We bestowed Our love on you that you may be reared under Our eyes. 39 "When your sister went and said: 'Shall I show you one who will nurse him?' So We restored you to your mother, that she might cool her eyes and she should not grieve. Then you did kill a man, but We saved you from great distress and tried you with a heavy trial. Then you stayed a number of years with the people of Madyan (Midian). Then you came here according to the fixed term which I ordained (for you), O Musa (Moses)! 40 "And I have Istana'tuka, for Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs, and do not be remiss in remembering Me. 42 "Go, both of you, to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience and behaved as an arrogant and as a tyrant). 43 "And speak to him mildly, perhaps he may accept admonition or fear Allah." 44 They said: "Our Lord! Verily! We fear lest he should hasten to punish us or lest he should transgress (all bounds against us)." 45 He said: Fear not, surely I am with you both: I do hear and see. 46 So go ye unto him and say: Lo! we are two messengers of thy Lord. So let the children of Israel go with us, and torment them not. We bring thee a token from thy Lord. And peace will be for him who followeth right guidance. 47 Lo! it hath been revealed unto us that the doom will be for him who denieth and turneth away. 48 (When this message was delivered), (Pharaoh) said: "Who, then, O Moses, is the Lord of you two?" 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 Pharaoh asked, "What about the previous generations?" 51 Said Moses, 'The knowledge of them is with my Lord, in a Book; my Lord goes not astray, nor forgets -- 52 It is He who made the earth a bed for you, and traced for you paths upon it, and sends down water from the sky, and brings out through it every kind of vegetation 53 Eat and pasture your cattle: verily therein are signs for men of sagacity. 54
