'Lord' said Moses, 'expand my chest, 25 “And make my task easy for me.” 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 That they may understand my saying. 28 Appoint for me a henchman from my folk, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Strengthen me through him 31 “And make him a partner in my task.” 32 So that we should glorify Thee much, 33 and remember Thee abundantly. 34 You are surely seeing us' 35 He replied: 'Moses, your request is granted. 36 And We had already conferred favor upon you another time, 37 When We inspired unto thy mother that which We inspired, 38 'Put him in a wooden box and cast it in the river. The river will cast it on the bank. An enemy of Ours, and his, will retrieve it.' We bestowed Our love on you that you may be reared under Our eyes. 39 Recall, when your sister went along, saying: 'Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him?' Thus We brought you back to your mother so that her heart might be gladdened and she might not grieve. Moses, recall when you slew a person. We delivered you from distress and made you go through several trials. Then you stayed for several years among the people of Midian, and now you have come at the right moment as ordained. 40 And I have attached thee to Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs, and do not be remiss in remembering Me. 42 Go, both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds. 43 and speak to him gently, perhaps he may take heed or fear (Allah)." 44 The twain said: O our Lord! verily we fear that he may hasten against us or wax exorbitant. 45 God said, "Do not fear; I am with you both. I hear and I see. 46 So go to him, and say: verily we are two apostles of thy Lord, so let go with us the Children of Isra'il, and torment them not; surely we have come unto thee with a sign from thy Lord: and peace be upon him who followeth the guidance. 47 It has been revealed to us that punishment will befall him who denies and turns away. 48 [But when God's message was conveyed unto Pharaoh,] he said: "Who, now, is this Sustainer of you two, O Moses?" 49 Musa said: our Lord is He who vouchsafed unto everything its creation, then guided it. 50 He (Pharaoh) asked: 'How was it then, with the former generations' 51 He (Moses) answered: 'The knowledge of them is in a Book with My Lord. My Lord neither goes astray, nor forgets. 52 It is He who has made for you the earth as a cradle and threaded roads for you and sends down water from the sky with which We bring forth every kind of plant. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle: verily therein are signs for men of sagacity. 54
