Moses said: "O my Lord, enlarge my breast, 25 And ease my task for me; 26 And loose a knot from my tongue, 27 so that they may understand me. 28 Appoint for me a henchman from my folk, 29 Let it be my brother Aaron 30 Strengthen me through him, 31 Let him be my partner in this task 32 so that [together] we might abundantly extol Thy limitless glory 33 and remember You much: 34 You are surely watching over us. 35 [Allah] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses. 36 “And indeed We had bestowed upon you a favour one more time.” 37 “When We inspired in your mother’s heart whatever was to be inspired.” 38 Saying: Put him into a chest, then cast it down into the river, then the river shall throw him on the shore; there shall take him up one who is an enemy to Me and enemy to him, and I cast down upon you love from Me, and that you might be brought up before My eyes; 39 Your sister went to them and said, "May I show you someone who will nurse this child?" We returned you to your mother to make her rejoice and forget her grief. You slew a man and We saved you from trouble. We tried you through various trials. Then you stayed some years with the people of Midian (Shu'ayb and his family) and after that you came back to Egypt as was ordained. 40 And I formed thee for Myself. 41 Go with My signs, you and your brother, and do not be lax in remembering Me. 42 Go ye twain unto Fir'awn, verily he hath waxen exorbitant, 43 And speak to him with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [Allah]." 44 The two said:" Lord! We fear he may commit excesses against us, or transgress all bounds." 45 He replied: 'Have no fear I shall be with you, both hearing and seeing. 46 "So go ye both to him, and say, 'Verily we are messengers sent by thy Lord: Send forth, therefore, the Children of Israel with us, and afflict them not: with a Sign, indeed, have we come from thy Lord! and peace to all who follow guidance! 47 it has been revealed to us that punishment shall overtake him who rejects it and turns away!'" 48 Pharaoh said:" Moses! Who is the Lord of the two of you?" 49 (Moses) said: "Our Lord is He who gave everything its natural form and directed it." 50 He then asked, "What do you know about the past generations?" 51 He said, “Their knowledge is with my Lord, (recorded) in a Book; my Lord neither strays nor forgets.” 52 It is He who has laid out the earth for you and traced routes in it and sent down water from the sky. We have brought forth every sort of plant with it, 53 To eat and feed your cattle. Surely there are signs in these for those who are wise. 54
