He said: my Lord! expand for me my breast. 25 And make my mission easy. 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 "That they understand my speech, 28 And give me as assistant from my family 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 By him confirm my strength 31 Let him be my partner in this task 32 so that [together] we might abundantly extol Thy limitless glory 33 and may remember You much. 34 You are surely watching over us. 35 Allah said: "You are granted your request, O Musa (Moses)! 36 We had already shown you favor 37 when We inspired thy mother with this inspiration: 38 [Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me that you would be brought up under My eye. 39 Your sister went (to them) and said: 'Shall I guide you to one who will nurse him' And so We restored you to your mother, so that her eyes might rejoice and that she might not sorrow. And when you killed a soul We saved you from grief and then We tried you with many trials. You stayed among the people of Midian for a number of years, and then, Moses, you came here according to a decree. 40 And I produced you for Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs, and do not be remiss in remembering Me. 42 Go, both of you, to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 43 Both of you must speak with him in a gentle manner so that perhaps he may come to himself or have fear (of God)." 44 The twain said: O our Lord! verily we fear that he may hasten against us or wax exorbitant. 45 He said, “Do not fear – I am with you, All Hearing and All Seeing.” 46 So go you both to Pharaoh, and say, "We are the Messengers of thy Lord, so send forth with us the Children of Israel and chastise them not; we have brought thee a sign from thy Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 "'Verily it has been revealed to us that the Penalty (awaits) those who reject and turn away.'" 48 He (Pharaoh) said: 'Moses, who is the Lord of you both' 49 He replied: "Our Sustainer is He who gives unto every thing [that exists] its true nature and form, and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment]. 50 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said: "What about the generations of old?" 51 He said, “Their knowledge is with my Lord, (recorded) in a Book; my Lord neither strays nor forgets.” 52 [It is He] who has made for you the earth as a bed [spread out] and inserted therein for you roadways and sent down from the sky, rain and produced thereby categories of various plants. 53 Consume them as food or for grazing your cattle. In this there is evidence (of the existence of God) for the people of reason". 54
