Said Moosa, “My Lord, open up my breast for me.” 25 "And ease my task for me; 26 Loosen the knot in my tongue, 27 so that they may understand my speech; 28 And give to me an aider from my family: 29 "Harun (Aaron), my brother; 30 Strengthen my back by him, 31 “And make him a partner in my task.” 32 so that we may glorify You much 33 and remember you often. 34 Verily Thou! Thou art of us ever a Beholder. 35 He answered: "Granted is your prayer, O Moses. 36 And We had already conferred favor upon you another time, 37 When We inspired unto thy mother that which We inspired, 38 'Put the baby into a chest and then throw him in the river. The river will throw him up on the shore, and then an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his will take him.' And I spread My love over you in order that you might be reared in My sight. 39 Your sister went to them and said, "May I show you someone who will nurse this child?" We returned you to your mother to make her rejoice and forget her grief. You slew a man and We saved you from trouble. We tried you through various trials. Then you stayed some years with the people of Midian (Shu'ayb and his family) and after that you came back to Egypt as was ordained. 40 “And I created you especially for Myself.” 41 go therefore, thou and thy brother; with My signs, and neglect not to remember Me. 42 Go both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds, 43 But speak gently to him; perhaps he may yet take heed or even feel afraid." 44 They said, "Our Lord, indeed we are afraid that he will hasten [punishment] against us or that he will transgress." 45 He replied: 'Have no fear I shall be with you, both hearing and seeing. 46 "So go you both to him, and say: 'Verily, we are Messengers of your Lord, so let the Children of Israel go with us, and torment them not; indeed, we have come with a sign from your Lord! And peace will be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 'Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies [believes not in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messengers, etc.], and turns away.'(from the truth and obedience of Allah)" 48 (When this message was delivered), (Pharaoh) said: "Who, then, O Moses, is the Lord of you two?" 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 Pharaoh asked, "What about the previous generations?" 51 (Moses) replied: "Knowledge of that is with my Lord (recorded) in the Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 It is God who has made the earth as a cradle for you with roads for you to travel. He has sent water from the sky to produce various pairs of plants. 53 Eat [therefrom] and pasture your livestock. Indeed, in that are signs for those of intelligence. 54
