'Lord' said Moses, 'expand my chest, 25 And make my mission easy. 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 That they may understand my speech, 28 And give to me an aider from my family: 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Add Thou through him to my strength, 31 “And make him a partner in my task.” 32 "That we may glorify You much, 33 and remember You much: 34 “Indeed You see us.” 35 (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" 36 “And indeed We had bestowed upon you a favour one more time.” 37 when We inspired thy mother with this inspiration: 38 Saying: Put him into a chest, then cast it down into the river, then the river shall throw him on the shore; there shall take him up one who is an enemy to Me and enemy to him, and I cast down upon you love from Me, and that you might be brought up before My eyes; 39 When thy sister went and said: Shall I show you one who will nurse him? and we restored thee to thy mother that her eyes might be refreshed and might not sorrow. And thou didst kill a man and We delivered thee from great distress, and tried thee with a heavy trial. And thou didst tarry years among the folk of Midian. Then camest thou (hither) by (My) providence, O Moses, 40 And I chose you for Myself. 41 “You and your brother, both go with My signs, and do not slacken in My remembrance.” 42 “Both of you go to Firaun; he has indeed rebelled.” 43 “And speak to him courteously, that perhaps he may ponder or have some fear.” 44 They (Moses and Aaron) said: "Our Lord! We fear lest he hasten with insolence against us, or lest he transgress all bounds." 45 God said, "Do not fear; I am with you both. I hear and I see. 46 Go, then; you two unto him and say, 'Behold, we are apostles sent by thy Sustainer: let, then, the children of Israel go with us, and cause them not to suffer [any longer]. We have now come unto thee with a message from thy Sustainer; and [know that His] peace shall be [only] on those who follow [His] guidance: 47 ‘It has indeed been revealed to us that the punishment is upon the one who denies and turns away.’” 48 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Who then, O Musa (Moses), is the Lord of you two?" 49 They replied, "Our Lord is the One Who has created all things and has given guidance". 50 Pharaoh asked: "Then, what is the state of the former generations?" 51 Moses replied, "The knowledge about it is with my Lord in the Book. My Lord is free from error and forgetfulness. 52 It is He who made the earth a bed for you, and traced for you paths upon it, and sends down water from the sky, and brings out through it every kind of vegetation 53 Eat [therefrom] and pasture your livestock. Indeed, in that are signs for those of intelligence. 54
