(Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind 25 and ease my task for me. 26 "And remove the impediment from my speech, 27 That they may understand my speech, 28 “And appoint for me a viceroy from among my family.” 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 "Add to my strength through him, 31 And let him share my task, 32 "That we may glorify You much, 33 and remember you often. 34 “Indeed You see us.” 35 He said: You are indeed granted your petition, O Musa 36 We had already shown you favor 37 When We inspired unto thy mother that which We inspired, 38 "Saying: 'Put him (the child) into the Tabut (a box or a case or a chest) and put it into the river (Nile), then the river shall cast it up on the bank, and there, an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his shall take him.' And I endued you with love from Me, in order that you may be brought up under My Eye, 39 when thy sister went out, saying, "Shall I point you to one to have charge of him?" So We returned thee to thy mother that she might rejoice, and not sorrow. Then thou slewest; a living soul, and We delivered thee out of grief, and We tried thee with many trials. Many years among the people of Midian thou didst sojourn, then camest hither, Moses, according to a decree. 40 I chose you for Myself. 41 “You and your brother, both go with My signs, and do not slacken in My remembrance.” 42 Go both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds, 43 "And speak to him mildly, perhaps he may accept admonition or fear Allah." 44 'O our Lord' both said, 'We fear lest he may be excessive against us or become insolent' 45 He said: "Fear not: for I am with you: I hear and see (everything). 46 So go to him and say, 'Indeed, we are messengers of your Lord, so send with us the Children of Israel and do not torment them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord. And peace will be upon he who follows the guidance. 47 Surely it has been revealed to us that the chastisement will surely come upon him who rejects and turns back. 48 Pharaoh said:" Moses! Who is the Lord of the two of you?" 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave unto everything its nature, then guided it aright. 50 Pharaoh asked, "What about the previous generations?" 51 (Moses) replied: "Knowledge of that is with my Lord (recorded) in the Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and therein threaded roads for you, and sent down water out of heaven, and therewith We have brought forth divers kinds of plants. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle, (therein); verily, in this are proofs and signs for men of understanding. 54
