Moses said: "O my Lord, enlarge my breast, 25 And ease for me my task 26 Loosen the knot in my tongue, 27 so that they might fully understand my speech, 28 "And give me a Minister from my family, 29 Haroun, my brother, 30 “Back me up with him.” 31 And let him share my task 32 That we may glorify Thee much 33 and remember You much: 34 “Indeed You see us.” 35 The Lord said, "Moses, your request is granted. 36 We had already shown you favor 37 When we inspired in thy mother that which is inspired, 38 to lace her child in a chest and throw it into the sea which would hurl it towards the shore. Then an enemy of Mine who was also the enemy of the child would pick it up from there. I made you attractive and loveable so that you would be reared before My own eyes. 39 What time thy sister was walking along and saying: shall I direct you unto one who will take care of him? Thus We returned thee to thy mother that she might cool her eyes and she might not grieve. And thou slewest a person, but We delivered thee from sorrow, and We tried thee with several trials. Then thou tarriedst for years among the people of Madyan then thou camest according to fate, O Musa! 40 "And I have Istana'tuka, for Myself. 41 Go you and your brother with My communications and be not remiss in remembering Me; 42 Go both of you to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel. 43 "But speak to him mildly; perchance he may take warning or fear (Allah)." 44 Both said: O our Lord! Surely we fear that he may hasten to do evil to us or that he may become inordinate. 45 He said: "Fear not: for I am with you: I hear and see (everything). 46 So go ye unto him and say: Lo! we are two messengers of thy Lord. So let the children of Israel go with us, and torment them not. We bring thee a token from thy Lord. And peace will be for him who followeth right guidance. 47 It is revealed to us that those who call our message a lie or turn away from it will face the torment." 48 He (Pharaoh) said: 'Moses, who is the Lord of you both' 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 (The Pharaoh) said: "And what about the former generations?" 51 Said Moses, 'The knowledge of them is with my Lord, in a Book; my Lord goes not astray, nor forgets -- 52 HE IT IS who has made the earth a cradle for you, and has traced out for you ways [of livelihood] thereon, and [who] sends down waters from the sky: and by this means We bring forth various kinds of plants. 53 Eat, and graze your cattle; indeed in this are signs for people of intellect. 54
