[Musa (Moses)] said: "O my Lord! Open for me my chest (grant me self-confidence, contentment, and boldness). 25 And ease for me my affair. 26 And loose a knot from my tongue, 27 that they may understand my words. 28 Appoint for me a minister from my family 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Strengthen my back by him, 31 Let him be my partner in this task 32 "That we may glorify You much, 33 And remember You much. 34 Surely Thou seest into us.' 35 [Allah] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses. 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on you another time (before). 37 when We revealed Our will to your mother, saying, 38 Saying: Put him into a chest, then cast it down into the river, then the river shall throw him on the shore; there shall take him up one who is an enemy to Me and enemy to him, and I cast down upon you love from Me, and that you might be brought up before My eyes; 39 "Behold! thy sister goeth forth and saith, 'shall I show you one who will nurse and rear the (child)?' So We brought thee back to thy mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve. Then thou didst slay a man, but We saved thee from trouble, and We tried thee in various ways. Then didst thou tarry a number of years with the people of Midian. Then didst thou come hither as ordained, O Moses! 40 And I produced you for Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs, and do not be remiss in remembering Me. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has waxed insolent; 43 Both of you must speak with him in a gentle manner so that perhaps he may come to himself or have fear (of God)." 44 'O our Lord,' said Moses and Aaron, 'truly we fear he may exceed against us, or wax insolent.' 45 He said, “Do not fear – I am with you, All Hearing and All Seeing.” 46 So go to him and say, 'Indeed, we are messengers of your Lord, so send with us the Children of Israel and do not torment them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord. And peace will be upon he who follows the guidance. 47 for, behold, it has been revealed to us that [in the life to come] suffering shall befall all who give the lie to the truth and turn away [from it]!"' 48 He said: who is the Lord of you twain, O Musa! 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave unto everything its nature, then guided it aright. 50 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said: "What about the generations of old?" 51 [Moses] said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 Who made the earth for you an expanse and made for you therein paths and sent down water from the cloud; then thereby We have brought forth many species of various herbs. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle; most surely there are signs in this for those endowed with understanding. 54
