Moses said, "Lord, grant me courage. 25 And make my mission easy. 26 And loose a knot from my tongue, 27 That they may understand my saying. 28 "And appoint for me a helper from my family, 29 Let it be my brother Aaron 30 Strengthen me through him, 31 And associate him (with me) in my affair, 32 so that we may glorify You much 33 and remember You much: 34 You are surely seeing us' 35 (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" 36 “And indeed We had bestowed upon you a favour one more time.” 37 Recall, when We indicated to your mother through inspiration: 38 Saying: Put him into a chest, then cast it down into the river, then the river shall throw him on the shore; there shall take him up one who is an enemy to Me and enemy to him, and I cast down upon you love from Me, and that you might be brought up before My eyes; 39 When thy sister went and said: Shall I show you one who will nurse him? and we restored thee to thy mother that her eyes might be refreshed and might not sorrow. And thou didst kill a man and We delivered thee from great distress, and tried thee with a heavy trial. And thou didst tarry years among the folk of Midian. Then camest thou (hither) by (My) providence, O Moses, 40 And I have attached thee to Myself. 41 Go, thou and thy brother, with My tokens, and be not faint in remembrance of Me. 42 go forth, both of you, unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity! 43 Then say to him a gentle saying; haply he may be admonished or he may fear. 44 'O our Lord,' said Moses and Aaron, 'truly we fear he may exceed against us, or wax insolent.' 45 Answered He: "Fear not! Verily, I shall be with you two, hearing and seeing [all]. 46 "So go ye both to him, and say, 'Verily we are messengers sent by thy Lord: Send forth, therefore, the Children of Israel with us, and afflict them not: with a Sign, indeed, have we come from thy Lord! and peace to all who follow guidance! 47 ‘It has indeed been revealed to us that the punishment is upon the one who denies and turns away.’” 48 He asked: "Who then is that Lord of yours, O Moses?" 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each (created) thing its form and nature, and further, gave (it) guidance." 50 Pharaoh asked, "What about the previous generations?" 51 [Moses] said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 Who hath appointed for you the earth as a bed, and hath opened for you therein pathways, and hath sent down from the heaven water, and thereby We have brought forth kinds of plants, various. 53 so eat and graze your cattle. In this there are signs for men of understanding. 54
