Aaron had indeed told them earlier: "O my people, you are being only misled with this. Surely your Lord is Ar-Rahman. So follow me and obey my command." 90 [But] they answered: "By no means shall we cease to worship it until Moses comes back to us!" 91 He (Moses) said: O Aaron! What held thee back when thou didst see them gone astray, 92 From coming after me? Did you not disobey my command?" (And Moses pulled him by the hair). 93 Aaron said, "Son of my mother! Do not seize me by my beard nor by my head. I was afraid that you would say, 'You have caused dissension among the Children of Israel and did not pay heed to my words.'" 94 Moses said, 'And thou, Samaritan, what was thy business?' 95 He answered: "I have gained insight into something which they were unable to see: and so I took hold of a handful of the Apostle's teachings and cast it away: for thus has my mind prompted me [to act]." 96 Musa (Moses) said: "Then go away! And verily, your (punishment) in this life will be that you will say: "Touch me not (i.e. you will live alone exiled away from mankind); and verily (for a future torment), you have a promise that will not fail. And look at your ilah (god), to which you have been devoted. We will certainly burn it, and scatter its particles in the sea." 97 Your only deity is God, there is no deity but Him. His knowledge encompasses all things." 98 Thus We tell you, (Muhammad), the stories of the past and We have given you the Quran. 99 Whosoever turns away from it, upon the Day of Resurrection He shall bear a fardel, 100 which they shall bear forever. It will be a grievous burden for them on the Day of Judgement, 101 On the day when the trumpet shall be blown, and We will gather the guilty, blue-eyed, on that day 102 Whispering to one another: "You have tarried but ten days." 103 [But] We know best what they will be saying when the most perceptive of them shall say: "You have spent [there] but one day!" 104
