And Aaron indeed had told them beforehand: O my people! Ye are but being seduced therewith, for lo! your Lord is the Beneficent, so follow me and obey my order. 90 They had said: "We will not abandon this cult, but we will devote ourselves to it until Moses returns to us." 91 Moses said to Aaron, "What prevented you, when you saw that they had gone astray, 92 "That you followed me not (according to my advice to you)? Have you then disobeyed my order?" 93 'Son of my mother,' Aaron said, 'take me not by the beard, or the head! I was fearful that thou wouldst say, "Thou hast divided the Children of Israel, and thou hast not observed my word." 94 Moses said: "What, then, is your case, O Samiri?" 95 He said: I perceived what they perceive not, so I seized a handful from the footsteps of the messenger, and then threw it in. Thus my soul commended to me. 96 (Moses) said: "Get thee gone! but thy (punishment) in this life will be that thou wilt say, 'touch me not'; and moreover (for a future penalty) thou hast a promise that will not fail: Now look at thy god, of whom thou hast become a devoted worshipper: We will certainly (melt) it in a blazing fire and scatter it broadcast in the sea!" 97 Your God is only One, Allah. There is no god, except He, alone. His knowledge encompasses all things. 98 Thus We relate to you (O Muhammad SAW) some information of what happened before. And indeed We have given you from Us a Reminder (this Quran). 99 Whoever turns away from it - then indeed, he will bear on the Day of Resurrection a burden, 100 [Abiding] eternally therein, and evil it is for them on the Day of Resurrection as a load - 101 The Day when the Trumpet will be blown (the second blowing): that Day, We shall gather the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, etc.) Zurqa: (blue or blind eyed with black faces). 102 They shall consult together secretly: You did tarry but ten (centuries). 103 We know well what they will utter, whereas the wisest among them will say, “You have stayed just for a day.” 104
