Aaron had already told them, "O my people! You are only being tested by this. Your Lord is the All Merciful, so follow me and obey my command." 90 They said "So long as Moses does not come back we are not going to give it up, and we will remain devoted to it." 91 (Musa) said: O Haroun! what prevented you, when you saw them going astray, 92 from following me? Why did you disobey my command?" 93 He said: O son of my mother! seize me not by my beard nor by my head; surely I was afraid lest you should say: You have caused a division among the children of Israel and not waited for my word. 94 Said Moosa, “And what is your explanation, O Samri?” 95 (Samiri) said: "I saw what they saw not, so I took a handful (of dust) from the hoof print of the messenger [Jibrael's (Gabriel) horse] and threw it [into the fire in which were put the ornaments of the Fir'aun's (Pharaoh) people, or into the calf]. Thus my inner-self suggested to me." 96 'Begone! Your lot in this life is to cry: "untouchable!' said he (Moses). 'An appointment awaits you that you cannot fail to keep. Look at your god which you clung to indeed we will burn it and scatter its ashes upon the sea' 97 Your Lord is the One who is the only God and He has the knowledge of all things. 98 This is how We relate the former tidings to you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him); and We have given you a Remembrance* from Ourselves. (*The Holy Qur’an.) 99 Whoever disregards (the Quran) will be heavily burdened with sin on the Day of Judgment 100 They will abide in that (state in the Fire of Hell), and evil indeed will it be that load for them on the Day of Resurrection; 101 The day when the Trumpet is blown. On that day we assemble the guilty white-eyed (with terror), 102 Mutterin among themselves: ye tarried not save ten days. 103 We are Best Aware of what they utter when their best in conduct say: Ye have tarried but a day. 104
