Aaron had indeed told them earlier: "O my people, you are being only misled with this. Surely your Lord is Ar-Rahman. So follow me and obey my command." 90 'We will not cease,' they said, 'to cleave to it, until Moses returns to us.') 91 [Musa (Moses)] said: "O Harun (Aaron)! What stopped you when you saw them going astray; 92 from following my way? Have you disobeyed my command?" 93 Answered [Aaron]: "O my mother's son! Seize me not by my beard, nor by my head! Behold, I was afraid lest [on thy return] thou say, 'Thou hast caused a split among the children of Israel, and hast paid no heed to my bidding!" 94 Said Moosa, “And what is your explanation, O Samri?” 95 He answered: "I saw what the people did not see. So I took a handful of dust from the trail of the Messenger, and I flung it (into the fire). Thus did my mind prompt me." 96 [Moses] said, "Then go. And indeed, it is [decreed] for you in [this] life to say, 'No contact.' And indeed, you have an appointment [in the Hereafter] you will not fail to keep. And look at your 'god' to which you remained devoted. We will surely burn it and blow it into the sea with a blast. 97 Your Lord is the One who is the only God and He has the knowledge of all things. 98 Thus, [O Muhammad], We relate to you from the news of what has preceded. And We have certainly given you from Us the Qur'an. 99 Whosoever turns away from it, upon the Day of Resurrection He shall bear a fardel, 100 [Abiding] eternally therein, and evil it is for them on the Day of Resurrection as a load - 101 On the day the Trumpet is blown; and We shall muster the sinners upon that day with eyes staring, 102 whispering unto one another, "You have spent but ten [days on earth] 103 We know well what they will utter, whereas the wisest among them will say, “You have stayed just for a day.” 104
