And certainly Haroun had said to them before: O my people! you are only tried by it, and surely your Lord is the Beneficent Allah, therefore follow me and obey my order. 90 They said: We will by no means cease to keep to its worship until Musa returns to us. 91 (Musa) said: O Haroun! what prevented you, when you saw them going astray, 92 "That you followed me not (according to my advice to you)? Have you then disobeyed my order?" 93 He said: O son of my mother! Clutch not my beard nor my head! I feared lest thou shouldst say: Thou hast caused division among the Children of Israel, and hast not waited for my word. 94 Said [Moses]: "What, then, didst thou have in view, O Samaritan?" 95 (Samiri) said: "I saw what they saw not, so I took a handful (of dust) from the hoof print of the messenger [Jibrael's (Gabriel) horse] and threw it [into the fire in which were put the ornaments of the Fir'aun's (Pharaoh) people, or into the calf]. Thus my inner-self suggested to me." 96 [Moses] said, "Then go. And indeed, it is [decreed] for you in [this] life to say, 'No contact.' And indeed, you have an appointment [in the Hereafter] you will not fail to keep. And look at your 'god' to which you remained devoted. We will surely burn it and blow it into the sea with a blast. 97 Your Allah is only Allah, than Whom there is no other Allah. He embraceth all things in His knowledge. 98 And so We narrate to you the stories of the past, and We have given you a remembrance from Us. 99 Whoever turns away from it will surely carry a burden on the Day of Judgement, 100 Abiding in this (state), and evil will it be for them to bear on the day of resurrection; 101 The Day when the Trumpet will be blown (the second blowing): that Day, We shall gather the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, etc.) Zurqa: (blue or blind eyed with black faces). 102 Whispering secretly among themselves, “You have not stayed on earth but for ten days.” 103 We know best what they will say, when their leader most eminent in conduct will say: "Ye tarried not longer than a day!" 104
