The Prophets (Al-Anbyaa')
112 verses, revealed in Mecca after Abraham (Ibrahim) before The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Reckoning for mankind is drawing near, yet they are heedless and turn away. 1 Whenever any fresh admonition comes to them from their Lord, they listen to it, but do not take it seriously; 2 With their hearts distracted. And those who do wrong conceal their private conversation, [saying], "Is this [Prophet] except a human being like you? So would you approach magic while you are aware [of it]?" 3 He said: "My Lord knows whatever is spoken in the heavens and the earth. He hears all and knows everything." 4 Rather they said, “These are confused dreams, but in fact he has fabricated it but in fact he is a poet; so he must bring us some sign, like those who were sent before.” 5 There is not a township before them which did not believe which We have not destroyed; so will they believe? 6 And We sent none before thee, but men to whom We made revelation -- question the People of the Remembrance, if you do not know -- 7 And We made them not bodies not eating food; nor were they to be abiders. 8 Then We made Our promise good to them and delivered whomsoever We pleased, and destroyed the transgressors. 9 We have indeed sent down towards you a Book, in which is your repute; so do you not have sense? 10

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
