Proclaim, “Who guards you night and day from the Most Gracious?” In fact they have turned away from the remembrance of their Lord. 42 Or do they have lords of their own besides Us who can defend them? But they are not able to help themselves, nor can they find protection against Us. 43 Yet We bestowed the good things [of life] upon their fathers for a great length of time. But do they not see how We are shrinking their borders? Is it they who will prevail? 44 SAY [unto all men]: "I but warn you on the strength of divine revelation!" But the deaf [of heart] will not hearken to this call, however often they are warned. 45 And if a breath of the torment of thy Lord were to touch them, they will say: woe unto us! we have been wrong-doers. 46 We shall set up scales of justice on the Day of Resurrection, so that no soul can be in the least wronged. Actions as small as a grain of mustard seed shall be weighed. We are sufficient as a reckoner. 47 Surely We had granted to Moses and Aaron the Criterion (between right and wrong), and Light and Admonition for the good of the God-fearing, 48 who fear their unseen Lord and are anxious about the Day of Judgment. 49 This is a Blessed Admonition that We have revealed. Are you, then, going to reject it? 50
