Say: "Who can guard and protect you in the night or in the day from the (punishment of the) Most Beneficent (Allah)?" Nay, but they turn away from the remembrance of their Lord. 42 Have they gods who defend them beside Us? They are not able to succour themselves, and against Us they cannot be kept company with. 43 Aye! We let these people and their fathers enjoy until there grew long upon them the life. Behold they not that We come unto the land diminishing it by the borders thereof? Shall they then be the victors? 44 Tell them: "I only warn you by the Revelation." But the deaf do not hear the cry when they are warned. 45 yet if even a breath of your Lord's punishment touched them, they would say, "Woe to us! We were indeed wrongdoers." 46 And We will set up a just balance on the day of resurrection, so no soul shall be dealt with unjustly in the least; and though there be the weight of a grain of mustard seed, (yet) will We bring it, and sufficient are We to take account. 47 And certainly We gave to Musa and Haroun the Furqan and a light and a reminder for those who would guard (against evil). 48 (For) those who fear their Lord in secret and they are fearful of the hour. 49 And this is a blessed Reminder (the Quran) which We have sent down, will you then (dare to) deny it? 50
