۞ And certainly We gave to Ibrahim his rectitude before, and We knew him fully well. 51 Recall, when he said to his father and his people: "What are these images to which you are devoutly clinging?" 52 They said: we found our fathers the worshippers thereof. 53 He said: 'Truly, you and your fathers are in clear error' 54 They said, "Have you brought us the truth or are you jesting?" 55 He said: Nay! your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, Who brought them into existence, and I am of those who bear witness to this: 56 “And, by oath of Allah, I shall seek to harm your idols after you have gone away and turned your backs.” 57 Then he reduced them to fragments, all save the chief of them, that haply they might have recourse to it. 58 [When they saw what had happened,] they said: "Who has done this to our gods? Verily, one of the worst wrongdoers is he!" 59 They said: We heard a youth speak of them, who is called Ibrahim. 60 They said: Then bring him (hither) before the people's eyes that they may testify. 61 They said: "Are you the one who has done this to our gods, O Ibrahim (Abraham)?" 62 He replied, "I think the biggest among them has broken the smaller ones. Ask them if they are able to speak". 63 Then they thought and observed: "Surely you are yourselves unjust." 64 Thereafter they were made to turn over upon their heads, saying, assuredly thou knowest that they speak not. 65 He said, "Then do you worship instead of Allah that which does not benefit you at all or harm you? 66 Fie upon you and upon all that you worship instead of God! Will you not, then, use your reason?" 67 They said: Burn him and help your gods, if you are going to do (anything). 68 We said, "O Fire! be thou cool, and (a means of) safety for Abraham!" 69 They wished to entrap him, but We made them greater losers. 70 and We delivered him, and Lot, unto the land that We had blessed for all beings. 71 And We bestowed him Ishaq, and Yaqub the grandson; and We made all of them worthy of Our proximity. 72 We made them leaders who guided people by Our command. We revealed to them the doing of good, observance of prayer and the giving of alms and Us alone did they worship. 73 We bestowed upon Lot sound judgement and knowledge, and We delivered him from the city that was immersed in foul deeds. They were indeed a wicked people, exceedingly disobedient. 74 and We admitted him into Our mercy; he was of the righteous. 75

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
