1/2 Hizb 33

۞ Before this We gave Abraham his guidance. We knew him well. 51 When he said to his father and his people: "What are these idols to which you cling so passionately?" 52 They answered: "We found our fathers worshipping them." 53 Abraham said, "Indeed, you and your fathers have been clearly misguided." 54 They said, "Have you brought us the truth or are you jesting?" 55 He answered: "Nay, but your [true] Sustainer is the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth - He who has brought them into being: and I am one of those who bear witness to this [truth]!" 56 And, by God, I shall assuredly outwit your idols, after you have gone away turning your backs.' 57 Then he broke them all into pieces, sparing only the supreme one among them that they may possibly return to him. 58 They said, “Who has done this to our Gods? He is indeed cruel!” 59 Some among them said, “We heard a youth speak ill of them the one called Ibrahim.” 60 They said, "Then bring him before the eyes of the people that they may testify." 61 They said: Is it thou who hast done this to our gods, O Abraham? 62 He said: Surely (some doer) has done it; the chief of them is this, therefore ask them, if they can speak. 63 Then they turned to one another and said, "It is you yourselves who are in the wrong," 64 But then they relapsed into their former way of thinking and said: "Thou knowest very well that these [idols] cannot speak!" 65 He said: What! do you then serve besides Allah what brings you not any benefit at all, nor does it harm you? 66 Fie upon you and upon that which ye worship beside Allah! Will ye not then reflect? 67 They said: "Burn him, and come to the support of your gods, if you are going to do anything." 68 [But] We said: O fire! Be thou cool, and [a source of] inner peace for Abraham!" 69 Then they sought a stratagem against him: but We made them the ones that lost most! 70 And We rescued him and Lut towards the land which We have blessed for the entire world. 71 And We bestowed upon him Ishaque (Isaac), and (a grandson) Ya'qub (Jacob). Each one We made righteous. 72 And We made them leaders guiding by Our command. And We inspired to them the doing of good deeds, establishment of prayer, and giving of zakah; and they were worshippers of Us. 73 AND UNTO Lot, too, We vouchsafed sound judgment and knowledge [of right and wrong,] and saved him from that community which was given to deeds of abomination. [We destroyed those people - for,] verily, they were people lost in evil, depraved 74 And We admitted him into Our mercy. Indeed, he was of the righteous. 75

Notes and Instructions
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
