The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The believers have indeed attained true success: 1 who are humble in their prayers; 2 who avoid impious talks, 3 And who are payers of the poor-due; 4 and guard their private parts 5 Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; 6 And whosoever seeketh beyond that, then it is these who are the transgressors 7 And those who are keepers of their trusts and their covenant, 8 And who guard their prayers. 9 These are they who are the heirs, 10 These are the heirs of Paradise wherein they will live forever. 11 And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay. 12 then We made him into a drop of life-germ, then We placed it in a safe depository, 13 Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 After that, surely, you will die. 15 Then lo! on the Day of Resurrection ye are raised (again). 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 And we send down from the sky water in measure, and We give it lodging in the earth, and lo! We are Able to withdraw it. 18 With it, We produced for you gardens of palms and vines, yielding abundant fruit for you to eat. 19 We have also created for you the tree that grows on Mount Sinai which produces oil and relish for those who use it. 20 And verily in the cattle for you is a lesson. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are advantages many, and of them ye eat. 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
