The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
118 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Prophets (Al-Anbyaa') before Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers 1 Those who humbly cry in their prayers. 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 And they who are observant of zakah 4 And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 5 Save from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy, 6 but those who seek to go beyond that are transgressors -- 7 (Prosperous are those) who preserve their trusts and pledges 8 And those who are watchful of their acts of prayer. 9 Such are the inheritors 10 Who will inherit paradise. There they will abide. 11 We created man from the finest extract of clay, 12 which was then turned into a living germ and placed in safe depository. 13 then We made this drop into a clot, then We made the clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We caused it to grow into another creation. Thus Most Blessed is Allah, the Best of all those that create. 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised. 16 And We have created above you seven paths, and We are never unmindful of creation. 17 And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away. 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you, and whereof you eat. 19 The tree that grows on Mount Sinai yields oil and seasoning for those who eat. 20 You have a lesson in livestock. We provide you with drink from what is in their bellies, and you have many other benefits from them; some of them you eat, 21 And you are carried on them and on boats. 22

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
