The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ The believers must (eventually) win through,- 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 and who are intent on inner purity; 4 And who guard their modesty - 5 save from their wives, or those whom their right hands possess; for with regard to them they are free from blame " 6 But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;- 7 And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive 8 And those who are watchful of their acts of prayer. 9 Such are the inheritors 10 Who will inherit Paradise, and live in it for ever. 11 Verily We created man from a product of wet earth; 12 and then We cause him to remain as a drop of sperm in [the wombs] firm keeping, 13 Then We created of the drop, a clot (of congealed blood) and We created the clot into bitesize tissue, then We created the bitesize tissue into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it an other creation. Blessed is Allah, the Best of creators! 14 After that you shall surely die, 15 Then you will be raised up again on the Resurrection Day. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 And We sent down out of heaven water in measure and lodged it in the earth; and We are able to take it away. 18 And by means of this [water] We bring forth for you gardens of date-palms and vines, wherein you have fruit abundant and whereof you eat, 19 Also a tree springing out of Mount Sinai, which produces oil, and relish for those who use it for food. 20 And indeed there is also a lesson for you in cattle. We provide you with drink out of what they have in their bellies; and you have many other benefits in them: you eat of them, 21 And upon them and on ships you are carried. 22
